…are just a few of the examples of the Character Development we stress.  Our goal is for every child at The Summit to become a well-adjusted, responsible, joyful individual who can serve as a role-model for their peers—and that’s not too much to ask! We have found that the proper nourishment of a child’s mind, spirit, and body helps give them a clear path to success. We strive to:

Engage kids based on their individual learning styles

How? Classroom sizes are small enough that each child receives individualized attention— we “get to know” every child. Plus, the A Beka curriculum is specially designed for individual needs.

Create an atmosphere of support, encouragement and direction

Our teachers and caregivers understand the power of positive reinforcement, praise, and positive redirection. They exhibit and teach a basic instruction of right and wrong based on non-denominational Christian values.

Provide a physically and emotionally safe setting, nurturing childrens’ self-confidence and self-esteem.

Your child will always be placed with other children who are at similar developmental stages both physically and academically so they can learn together without fear. Our caregivers and teachers don’t babysit—they nurture and create friendships with both you and your child that last well beyond the preschool years.

"Speaking of trust, from the top down, the faculty and teachers here are top notch. I have two children and we are coming up on our third year here, they have become more of a family at this point. We see many of the teachers outside of school at community functions and church and many of them I consider friends. The Summit is involved in SO MANY community activities that the children are also able to participate in. You can bet every holiday they will have something fun going on. I think my favorite was when my daughter got to be an angel in the White House Christmas parade. In the Spring Elizabeth started the week of the child. They had picnics, ice cream treats, bounce houses, gymnastics and soccer! They offer gymnastics year round and soccer in the spring as well. My oldest child is in both and absolutely loves the sports and the coaches."

"When we started looking for a preschool for our son Chase in 2012 I did a lot of research on local daycares and preschools.  My mother started keeping him when he was 2 months old and he had never stayed with anyone else so leaving him with complete strangers was going to be an adjustment for him and us as well.  He was the only child in our family at the time so we knew he needed to be around other kids for the social interaction and teaching from someone other than us.  I really wanted him to be in a Christian based teaching environment and The Summit does just that.  I love the fact that he is learning what he needs for Kindergarten but he is also learning life lessons, Bible verses and stories."

"If you are looking for a place where your child can grow in the Lord, learn everything they need to know for Kindergarten and have structure in a loving environment, this is the place for you. My daughter is four and is READING. Yes! Reading! And has stopped me in my tracks when quoting scripture and applying it to her every day life. She gets it, and she’s so little. "Chase has separation anxiety not unlike many children, however his was a little more extreme than most. He cried at drop off for a very long time. His teachers were wonderful at comforting him and he would typically stop by the time I left the building. It was hard at first to leave him while he was crying but his teachers would do everything they could to help including holding, cuddling and/or distracting him if needed. I would have never been able to leave him crying if I didn’t feel absolutely sure that he would be taken care of. Now almost 1.5 years later he loves school, a lot of times he doesn’t want to leave in the afternoon. He has learned so much and made many friends, which is exactly what we wanted for him. The awesome teachers and staff really make sure the kids are ready for school and life. We would recommend The Summit 100%."
