WHAT DID MY CHILD DO TODAY?

When your little one is at The Summit, you don’t have to wonder.

Our team is passionate about maintaining the close bond between parent and child. We keep track of every individual and we’re delighted to tell you about your child’s day!

Children enjoy an age and ability-appropriate exercise program to help them stay active and healthy, and they interact only with other children in the same age range.  We cuddle infants, coo to them, and warmly hold them and help them play.

Classrooms are dedicated—your child will spend the majority of his or her time in the same classroom—so they will have a sense of security and order, and you will know right where to find them.

Exercise – From toddlers to preschoolers, interactive, age-appropriate exercise keeps the little ones healthy, entertained, and engaged.  And, have you seen our supervised, covered outdoor play area?

Art—Children love to create! Drawing, painting, crafting are natural and fun creative outlets.  At the Summit, kids are encouraged to express themselves every day. Plus, we partner with CARIS Heathcare, to provide your child an opportunity to create and share their personal artwork with homebound adults.

Good food—We all know that proper nourishment for the body is essential. At The Summit, all our meals are properly portioned, prepared on-site, and served in the classrooms.

After-School Care—If your child needs care after school, from kindergarten through fifth grade, we have an After-School program for them! Soccer Shots, Charles Harding Gymnastics, advanced studies, arts and crafts, and help with homework are all available. Care is always individualized and age-appropriate.

"Chase has separation anxiety not unlike many children, however his was a little more extreme than most. He cried at drop off for a very long time. His teachers were wonderful at comforting him and he would typically stop by the time I left the building. It was hard at first to leave him while he was crying but his teachers would do everything they could to help including holding, cuddling and/or distracting him if needed. I would have never been able to leave him crying if I didn’t feel absolutely sure that he would be taken care of. Now almost 1.5 years later he loves school, a lot of times he doesn’t want to leave in the afternoon. He has learned so much and made many friends, which is exactly what we wanted for him. The awesome teachers and staff really make sure the kids are ready for school and life. We would recommend The Summit 100%."

"Knox started at Summit Preparatory Academy in September 2013. He was 18 months at the time, transitioning from a home-based daycare.  As we were approaching the two-year mark, we felt it was time for a more structured, learning based environment. We could not be happier with this decision! Knox is so happy at Summit, and his attitude and communication skills prove it. He leaves everyday singing and dancing the whole way home! He has developed so much from Day One. Thank you to the Faculty and Staff of Summit Preparatory Academy for providing unmatchable care. We are so grateful, and look forward to spending the next few years with you!"

"Speaking of trust, from the top down, the faculty and teachers here are top notch. I have two children and we are coming up on our third year here, they have become more of a family at this point. We see many of the teachers outside of school at community functions and church and many of them I consider friends. The Summit is involved in SO MANY community activities that the children are also able to participate in. You can bet every holiday they will have something fun going on. I think my favorite was when my daughter got to be an angel in the White House Christmas parade. In the Spring Elizabeth started the week of the child. They had picnics, ice cream treats, bounce houses, gymnastics and soccer! They offer gymnastics year round and soccer in the spring as well. My oldest child is in both and absolutely loves the sports and the coaches."

"When we started looking for a preschool for our son Chase in 2012 I did a lot of research on local daycares and preschools.  My mother started keeping him when he was 2 months old and he had never stayed with anyone else so leaving him with complete strangers was going to be an adjustment for him and us as well.  He was the only child in our family at the time so we knew he needed to be around other kids for the social interaction and teaching from someone other than us.  I really wanted him to be in a Christian based teaching environment and The Summit does just that.  I love the fact that he is learning what he needs for Kindergarten but he is also learning life lessons, Bible verses and stories."

"Summit Prep is everything any parent could ever want in a school. I’m not even sure where to start in this testimonial, they have exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable. It oozes awesome from the moment you pull in the parking lot. The attention to detail can be seen in everything from how nice the building is to how clean the facilities are. You can’t get in the front door without an access card, the added sense of security for that feature alone adds so much trust in this place when you drop your children off."
